My go to outfit

Hey hey hey

Sometimes things happen out of the blue, sometimes it involves having to go out of the house in the space of 10 minutes. And it can indeed be very stressful, especially for me who always stress about on what to wear. However, we all have our own personal style. For some people they might not know what their personal style is and that's completely fine. One of the ways to discover your personal style is to ask yourself, what would you just throw on if you have a limited time to get ready?
Comfy, subtle colours& black, basic pieces and simplicity are the one for me.

Black skinny jeans are great as they go with everything

Basic tops in subtle colours; white/ grey or black as I don't feel comfortable wearing bright and vibrant colours/ crazy patterns, mainly because I don't have the confidence.

Layered necklaces; as I usually go for simple plain tops, I like to jazz up the outfit by layering necklaces, the attention will be drawn to this.

Denim jacket; as I live in England, it's good to be prepared and bring some sort of jacket to throw over the top because the weather is very unpredictable and denim jacket is perfect because they go with everything.

Heeled boots/ anything that gives me a bit of height; I wore my strapy heeled sandals as it's nearing the end of summer and I want to make the most of it! For some people this might be quite strange as you could argue that they might not be comfortable but I feel great when I wear something that gives me a bit of height as I am very short and one of the important thing is to feel great on what you're wearing especially if you're rushing.

Travelling essentials

Hey lovelies

This weekend me and my family went to this event called Indofest which takes place in Nottingham. As you could have guessed it is indeed a festival that highlights Indonesian culture; especially its food! My outfit wasn't too interesting as the weather was not too great so I had to stick with simple basic pieces. Therefore I thought I'd share my essentials when travelling.

My phone is first on the list, I can't leave the house without my phone and I pretty much have everything on my phone so forgetting my phone would be equivalent to death for me haha

Also headphone is a must! Especially when you have younger siblings who you'd like to block out haha oops, or just simply if you don't like chart music played on the radio, I know that we all like our own music preference and when there are a lot I people with different music preferences, listening to your own music is the solution.

Car journey can get a little bit boring so I like to bring a book to read throughout the journey.

Mini makeup bag is something rather important to me as I get really bad bags under my eyes when I'm tired and travelling tire me up so it's great to just touch up before going to that specific events or occasion.

Snacks and drinks! You just cannot forget the food, they're the only thing that keeps me going when travelling because oh god, I get ridiculously hungry when I'm bored.

But the most important thing for me is coffee. I just have to have them. I usually bring some from home for the journey and get more when I get there, oops coffee addict right here.

Living on the edge

Hey lovelies

I am back with an OOTD! I absolutely love the edgy and grunge look, something about it just appeals to me.

Yes, I know. It's spring and I know I should be wearing more brighter colours but today's weather was a bit crap, the sun was nowhere to be seen and it was just very gloomy so i matched my outfit with the weather, oops.

I am literally wearing black from head to toe and surprisingly, i didn't feel hot at all. That might be caused by the typical English weather but it's also because of the types of material i chose to wear. If you're like me who is very comfortable wearing the colour black, who is most confident when wearing the colour black but feel like you can NOT wear it throughout the summer due to the weather that is very warm which means that the colour black is not appropriate to wear as it will absorb all the sunlight, try to choose the right material; something flowy, lightweight and not too tight

I love this outfit because the top half is very loose and comfortable. The crop top that i'm wearing is from H&M at a ridiculously cheap price; 3.99. They come in 3 different colours; black, white and grey, i highly recommend you to buy it because i literally live in them, i can guarantee that you will get so much wear out of it as they are so easy to style. The material itself is quite stretchy which i love because it means that its easier to move around.

I threw a flannel over the top and i choose to wear an oversized flannel as it adds that laid back and casual look especially as i wore it quite loose and  rolled up the sleeves. I also comes in handy when the weather is getting colder. The material is very lightweight and you can find many flannels everywhere, charity shops are great if you're in desperate need of them as i'm sure you will be able to find some there at a cheaper price.

I know i said materials that are not too tight, well you'll have to excuse my black skinny jeans for this one as  the material is rather stretchy. I love it so much, they just go with everything.

I incorporated quite a lot of accessories for this outfit. My choker and necklace adds that edginess which is the aim of this whole outfit. My rings are all silver as i feel like silver jewellery goes with black perfectly. also feel like my shoes adds a little bit of edginess but still summery as it allows to show a little bit of your skin.

#3 Simplicity

Hey lovelies!

For the third look, it's all about simplicity with a simple plain white top. This look is so laid back but you can accessories it to make it look more appropriate if you want to go out. I would wear this outfit if I’m going shopping with friends. I accessorized it with a very minimalistic silver necklace, a bowler hat, mini bag, black boots and tights which is optional but it is perfect if you live in a colder place. It looks like you've put in a lot of effort by incorporating accessories which makes it look a lot dressier but still has that laid back, comfortable look.

#2 Key to comfort

Hey lovelies!

Dungarees oh dungarees! Dungarees have comfort written all over it! It's such a great piece to wear when you're just lounging around. I mostly wear dungarees when i'm at home doing nothing because when there's comfort, there is me! The thing i love about it is the fact that you can pair it with everything and still look cute. We all have one of those days where making an effort is not an option but still wants to look somewhat presentable and wearing dungarees allows me to do that. I personally feel like if i'm happy with my outfit, i become less caring with my hair or makeup.

This outfit is literally so simple and easy to throw on. Jumper, dungaree and knee high socks is my key to comfort. Even though summer is just around the corner, let's acknowledge the fact that here in England, the weather can be a bit crap, in fact it's currently raining and it's rather chilly right now which is the perfect weather to wear this outfit for me. I chose to wear this mickey mouse jumper as it adds a little sense of cuteness and make the outfit look very casual.

I feel like the main purpose of dungarees are comfort and let's embrace that! Get your most comfortable pieces of clothing from your wardrobe and pair it with a dungaree, i can guarantee that you will love it!

#1 Girly touch

Hey lovelies!

The sun is out and so should your dungarees! Some people would argue that dungarees are quite hard to style especially when you're more into the girly look as it has that tomboy vibes to it. Today i'm going to show you how i would style it with a girly touch to it!

With dungaree, it's all about accessorizing and choosing the right top to go with it to achieve the style that you want. Adding a floral pattern is a great way to get that girly look; very simple and easy to do as i would imagine that every girl will have a floral top in their wardrobe! Colour can be substantial as it adds a little more definition to the outfit; bright colours will make the outfit have that fun and excitable sense to it.

Moreover, i wore little accessories such as this gorgeous turquoise choker along with a toned down shade of purple nail polish and a pink sunglasses to compliment my top.

For my shoes, i kept it very simple and i opted for my sandals. I absolutely adore these as it adds another texture with its velvet straps and the fact that it's purple makes it fit perfectly with this outfit

Let's accept the reality that i live in England and even though it's been sunny lately, the weather can change to its worse in a matter of minutes and it can get ridiculously windy. Therefore it's always a good idea to carry something that will cover you up and save you in those situations. For this outfit, i opted for my grey slouchy cardigan to throw over the top, it still make the outfit a cute one!

I wore this outfit when i was having a mini barbecue party with my family and friends which explains its simplicity and how it's very casual. You could always dress it up the way you want it to fit your specific occasions such as adding a bright wedges/ heels and many more but overall, i personally think adding a bright colour or a floral pattern will change dungaree's reputations for it being tomboy to a girly outfit!
